Bhavan Sawan Public School Bhatti Mines is located near Radha Swami Satsang Beas on the Bhatti Mines Road in New Delhi. It is a fully residential Public School for boys. The school believes that the educational process must be rooted in the country’s tradition and culture. The school aims that its students are upright, analytical, sensitive and also have a nationalistic outlook. The mission of the school is to encourage its students to contribute towards national development by nurturing them to become responsible, intelligent and committed citizens.

The school was set up in 1974 by the S J Jindal Trust. The School is affiliated to the Central Board of secondary education. The aims and objectives of the school as laid down by the S J Jindal trust are similar to those of the Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan’s Institutions in India and abroad. Both the S J Jindal Trust and the Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan draw their inspiration from the traditional Indian Gurukul system. In April 1993, the Sawan Public School was gifted in totality to the Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan. From then, the school has been known as Bhavan's Sawan Public School.

The school offers education from classes IV to XII. The school session extends from April to March. The school is divided into two terms - April to November and December to March. The school has a dedicated, highly qualified staff and uses excellent teaching methods. The students at the school are divided into four houses Janak, Vashisht, Kabir and Nanak. Each House has a full-time matron/hostel supervisor and an attendant.

Within each house, there is a common room that is large and well-furnished. Each House contains a Television and a Music System that has facilities for indoor games like Chess, Carroms and Table Tennis. The school follows the CBSE curriculum and the medium of instruction is English. Special Emphasis is also laid on Sanskrit. Sanskrit is taught at the school from classes VI to X. The class rooms at the school are spacious, airy and well lit. the students are encouraged to take part in co-curricular activities for their all round development. Debates, Declamations, Quizzes and Dramatic competitions are also organized at the school on a regular basis. The students have the opportunity to pursue hobbies such as Art, Music, Photography, Wood Craft, Clay Modeling, Journalism and Electronics. Two magazines are published in the school. Sawan Surabhi is the Annual Magazine and a monthly magazine called Shravani both in Hindi and English is published.
